Basically, to roughly summarize what I have of the overarching plot so far:
- Kinger manages to get all 5 of the other circus members out and back into the real world, but stays behind himself to destroy the circus from the inside once and for all, so that nobody can ever get stuck in it again
- The 5 humans that got out - Gangle, Jax, Ragatha, Pomni and Zooble - “spawn” back into the real world in random locations throughout town, looking exactly like they did on the day they put on the headset, without having aged a day
- They now have to pick their real lives back up - but some of them have been gone for years at this point, declared missing or even legally dead (depends on the person really)
- While they get their lives somewhat back on track, some of them run into each other and get to reunite - eventually they’re all in touch with each other as kind of the only support group available that’s been through the same traumas, plus they’ve spent so much time together atp that it just feels natural to stay friends and hang out semi-regularly
- Zooble and Gangle find each other first - Zooble has some good emergency contacts and gets their life back on track pretty swiftly
- Jax’s home/financial situation had been precarious at best even before the circus and running into Pomni while chasing down remnants of his belongings in thrift stores around town turned out to be a stroke of luck bc she lets him stay at her apartment, at least until he’s back on his feet (they end up living together long-term tho)
- They eventually all run into each other around town as well - Idk yet how exactly they end up finding Ragatha tho
- after that it’s all found family fluff, funnybunny roommate shenanigans and healing together

I’ve technically shared these before but I don’t mind repeating them lol - let’s add some nickname headcanons too this time, why not!
Gangle = Emily
- I could see someone shortening her name to Ems
- “ribbons” isn’t a very accurate nickname anymore but I can see Jax hypocritically using “freckles” for her instead
Jax = Felix
- I feel like he still gets called Jax a lot just bc it’s shorter and a habit to shout when he’s being an ass lol
- Zooble occasionally calls him “bunny boy”
Pomni = Christine
- probably prefers Chris or Chrissy
- Jax would probably slip up a lot at first and correct himself halfway thru saying her circus name, resulting in “Pomstine” sticking longterm
Ragatha = Catherine
- responds to Cathy as well (probably really excited to be assigned a nickname that isn’t “dolly”, “raggy” or “doll face” but her actual name shortened in a friendly manner… Poor woman probably never had friends who’d be close and casual enough with her to do that)
Zooble = Nicky
- Their name is already quite short but I can see someone referring to them as “Nick” or “Nicks” too sometimes
- Jax likes the nickname Zoobs too much to stop using it but they don’t particularly care
I’m ngl tho I’m kind of stumped when it comes to last names, so if anyone has some suggestions feel free to comment them ⬇️!
(note: I refuse to use their VAs last names, I don’t like blurring the lines between fictional characters and IRL people)
Funnybunnydoll dynamic is hilarious to think since it looked like Jax is the freak one and Ragata and Pomni keep him in check when turns out Jax and Pomni are both freaks, Pomni is just good at switching it off, and poor Ragatha keeps them both in check xDD

I have an hc that among all else, Ragatha is very insecure about her appearance, both digital and real, since, y'know, abusive mother, and abusive mothers often looooove to make fun of how their daughters look!
And Point and Jax? Those two are just stupid and kinda used to saying weird shit to each other lol
